Transport links restored
Lord Street and North Albert Street Fleetwood have now reopened to traffic including public transport.
Blackpool Transport Services Ltd bus services 1, 2, 5 and 14 have resumed the normal routes around Fleetwood and there's a full tram service to Fleetwood Ferry (just minutes from The HUB) but the London Street tram stop will remain closed due to scaffolding close to the platform.
This is great news, reconnecting the north end of the Town Centre with the rest of the transport network.
Thank you to everyone who has continued to support the partners at The HUB and local businesses during the disruption and we hope that all our friends in the community can look forward to better times ahead.

Building works at The HUB
As visitors will know, contractors are on site at The HUB, preparing for work in the future.
We have lost a few parking spaces and access to the Cafe is temporarily from the Bold Street doors or the rear gate of the carpark but the Cafe and all the partner organisations are OPEN AS USUAL.
We will be sharing more news about plans for the building and exciting, new opportunities and we are aware there's been some comments on social media about the work taking place.
Mark Spencer GP, chair of the registered charity Fleetwood Trust, owners and operators of The HUB Fleetwood, says,
“A planning application has been submitted on behalf of the Fleetwood Trust and Blackpool & Fylde College to create modern, comfortable student-only accommodation on the top floor of The HUB Fleetwood, the former hospital building. The students will benefit from education, training and support to begin amazing careers that started right here in Fleetwood.
Our partners at The HUB Fleetwood already include Blackpool & Fylde College, Macmillan Cancer Support, Healthier Fleetwood, One Fylde, Fleetwood Town Community Trust, Level-Up Fleetwood, Thrive Fleetwood, The Pantry Foodbank, Counselling in the Community and NHS Outpatients.
The Fleetwood Trust charity purchased the largely derelict building in 2018, over 10 years since it ceased to be a fully operational hospital. We will continue to develop a vibrant community hub for the benefit of all local residents and invite everyone to visit The HUB to discover what is on offer."
Further updates will be posted as appropriate.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you soon.
